Economic Growth & real estate summit
This program is something I was in charge of during my time at Coastal Carolina University; of which tops as one of my proudest professional activities. The Economic Growth & Real Estate is CCU's annual event to bring together leaders of the Waccamaw Region to listen to experts on issues most pressing to the region. The summit's I was in charge of centered around the common theme of communication, collaboration, and coordination. The speakers chosen to speak widely centered on addressing those ideas. Highlights of speakers included Mike Mancuso of the Waccamaw Community Foundation (We Are Waccamaw), Ethel Bunch from SustainSC (Shifting from industrial to the sustainable revolution), panel discussion of regional leaders about the future of the Waccamaw Region's Economy, and Clay Brittain, III of Brittain Resorts & Hotels (Bringing the Community Together). The summit is hosted by the economic development center for CCU, and are a way to keep the university in the center of important discussions involving the Waccamaw Region. Proud of the speaker lineup each year, attendance numbers, and the amount each year raised to go towards investing in the students of Coastal Carolina University; future leaders of the Palmetto State!
